The story

Peo may have lost his ship, but he hasn’t lost his good taste. For Lucarda, a historic nautical clothing shop in Genova, we built a brand story around a retired sailor who knows exactly what he wants—and is not easily pleased.

A step back in time

Our idea was to invite viewers into the shop’s world through a character who feels part of its history. Peo brings the spirit of the sea ashore: a distinctive presence, a discerning eye, and the stubborn confidence of someone used to doing things his own way.

An exacting customer

The humour comes from the encounter between Peo and the shopkeeper. A simple shopping visit becomes a small character story, with Lucarda as its setting and Peo’s uncompromising taste at its heart.

The world around the story

From the shopfront to the maritime objects, old radio and richly coloured interiors, the setting gives the film its sense of another time. Close-ups of Peo and the details around him let that atmosphere unfold through images, bringing the shop’s character into the story.
